1. Features consuming battery:
In your Android Phone navigate to Settings => Battery, this will list down the apps and features which are consuming your battery in descending order. This will show the percentage of battery used by each of the apps/features. If you feel any of the apps or features you don’t need to use then you can disable or uninstall that app to save some battery.

2. Radios OFF:
Today’s phones are packed with all kinds of high-end radios like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS etc which are continuously running in the background even if you don’t need them. GPS is one of the major power drainer. You can quickly switch on/off these radios from your Android phone’s notification bar. Just swipe down to show the notification bar.

Many apps on your android phone are automatically refreshing their content in the background like Facebook, Twitter, Email, WhatsApp etc. You can set the refresh frequency or polling to “manual” to manually refresh the apps. This will save some battery required in refreshing these apps.

Unused apps keep running in the background until you manually close it from Settings > Apps. Here you will see the list of running apps. You can close the apps which you don’t require to run in the background all the time.
