Solution to the Facebook error "There was a problem saving your changes. Please try again later."

I have got above error when trying to save the settings of my Facebook app. This error occurred while saving the Secure Canvas URL field on Facebook app settings page. After further investigation and reading few facebook developer's blog I have resolved this issue by adding a port number of 443 with after the url.

 An example shown below:
If your Secure Canvas URL is:

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/56433819/index.html? or
https://secure3014.hostgator.com/~xxxxxx/shop1/

Add port number 443 to your canvas url:

 https://dl.dropbox.com:443/u/56433819/index.html? or
https://secure5414.hostgator.com:443/~xxxxxx/shop1/

After saving the facebook app settings the error will went away.
