To encourage consumers to make digital payments, the government rolled out its incentive schemes, the Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana, on Christmas day. Through these schemes, which will go on for a 100 days in 100 cities, those who make digital payments through pre-specified formats will be eligible to be lucky draw winners. The scheme will run daily as well as weekly. And on the last day, April 14, will be the mega draw with rewards ranging from Rs 1 crore to Rs 5 lakh.
Here’s an easy 10-step primer on ensuring you’re eligible for the draw and finding out if you’ve won:
1. The Lucky Grahak Yojana is for individual consumers
2. The Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana is for businesses or merchants
3. To be eligible for the lucky draw you have to transact digitally using one of the following methods: AEPS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment System), RuPay, UPI (Unified Payment Interface) and USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data).
4. You must make transactions between Rs. 50 and Rs. 3,000. Anything above or below that range will be ineligible
5. Get on the Internet and visit this web site https://digidhanlucky.mygov.in/
6. The page will ask you if you’re a consumer or a merchant. Click on the appropriate tab.
7. It will ask you to type in your registered mobile number. Do that.
8. You will be sent an OTP, that is, a One Time Password. You then enter that password in the box where it asks you to.
9. Then click on the button that says 'Try Your Luck'.
10. Now you will be told if you’re one of the lucky winners.
